Josephine Ernst (note difference in spelling from the below mentioned accounts.)* 

Josephine married and came to the US with her husband and one daughter, Anna Marie (Mary Ann). While traveling to America, Josephine gave birth to daughter, Josephine.** 

Josephine was executrix of her husband's will as recorded in the Registers Docket book, Pg. 243. ***

Following Joseph's death, Josephine married David Hottel of Trumbull Co. Ohio. They lived on the Affantranger homestead the rest of their lives, and had no children together. David was a tavern keeper and his place of burial is unknown. ***
